It wasn't to be for our Manly Warringah 1st, who couldn't get past St George 1st despite Joel Foster's 31.
Our totals were 10/156, against St George 1st's 280. Joel Foster batted well for 31 off 64 balls with three fours. Solid support came from Edmund Hole, who made 31. A six-wicket haul to Connor O'Riordan for the hosts (six for 57).
Thomas Kaye led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 34. Peter Francis made a quality 72 for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Adam Singleton passed fifty for the hosts, finishing with 71.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. A tough stretch, and one the team will be determined to end.
Well played to our opponents.
