On Sunday at University Oval No. 1, our Manly Warringah notched a win over Eastern Suburbs in a dominant display.
We kept Eastern Suburbs to 5/193 from 20 overs. Credit to Jake Winter, who made a half-century (95) for our opponents. Johnny Connell added 41 for the visitors. Joel Davies led the way with the ball, finishing with two for 42.
In reply, the girls reached the target at 2/196 in 17.2 overs. Davies brought up a classy half-century, finishing with 60 not out off 33 balls. Jay Lenton's 56 not out off 33 balls was a half-century to remember.
With wickets in hand, the chase was beautifully managed. The team have now won three straight.
Great work, everyone.
