It wasn't to be for our Manly Warringah, who had to give best to Northern District on a day that didn't go our way.
With the bat first up, we compiled 6/129 from 20 overs. Alana Horsfall top-scored, making 41 off 43 balls. Amy Hunter provided good support with 35. Ella Davidson was the main threat for Northern District, taking three for 13.
The visitors reached the target at 4/130 in 19.2 overs. Claire McGuirk passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 57. Eliza Henry starred with the ball, taking two for 22.
Credit to the visitors, who played well.
The results haven't gone our way lately, but the side will keep at it. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
