It wasn't to be for our Manly Warringah W1, who were held off by Bankstown W1 on a frustrating day.
First up, Bankstown W1 made 8/257 from 50 overs. Katie Mack posted a superb hundred for the hosts, finishing on 106. Kristie Crawford grabbed two for 33.
Needing 258 to win, we finished on 10/198 from 50 overs. Shivani Mehta brought up a fine half-century, finishing with 53 off 73 balls. Solid support came from Eliza Henry, who made 36. Alana Horsfall chipped in with 35. Jessica Robertson was the best of our opponents' bowlers, finishing with three for 32.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
