On Sunday at Manly Oval, our Manly Warringah W1 were beaten by Sydney University W1 by 97 runs.
Sydney University W1 batted first and reached 5/265 from 50 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Zoya Thakur, who made 88.
In reply, the team were all out for 168 in 48.5 overs. A classy 74 off 105 balls from Alana Horsfall was the highlight. Eve Burke chipped in with 30.
There were some quality individual efforts to build on.
Congratulations to the visitors on the win.
