Sunday belonged to our Manly Warringah W1, who took care of Sydney University W1 thanks to Lauren Kua's 73.
Sydney University W1 set the target, making 10/208 from 49.3 overs. Credit to Zoya Thakur, who made a half-century (51) for the hosts. Lara Hughes starred with the ball, taking four for 31. Kristie Crawford bowled nicely for two for 8.
In reply, the girls reached the target at 9/209 in 49.1 overs. Fifty for Lauren Kua, who finished with 73 off 88 balls. Eliza Henry also got among the runs with 38 off 49 balls. Vaishnavi Deobhankar was the main threat for our opponents, taking three for 32.
It went right down to the wire, but the team got the job done. The win was extra sweet after the hosts got the better of us earlier in the season. That makes it two wins in a row. Great work, everyone.
