It was a day to regroup for our Manly Warringah W2, who were downed by Greater Hunter Coast W2 on Sunday.
First up, we made 10/127 from 33.3 overs. Eve Burke was the pick of our batters with 43 off 57 balls. Solid support came from Keira Terrey, who made 22. Felicity Wharton returned three for 34 for Greater Hunter Coast W2.
Our opponents reached the target at 7/128 in 30.5 overs. The hosts' best was a half-century from Airlie McAlary, who made 60 not out. Charlotte Allen led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 30.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. The results haven't gone our way lately, but the side will keep at it.
We'll go again.
