There was plenty to celebrate as our Manly Warringah 3rd took the honours against Penrith 3rd by five wickets at LM Graham Reserve on Saturday.
Batting first, Penrith 3rd posted 148 from 47.1 overs. Credit to Sukhwant Sabharwal, who made a half-century (50) for our opponents. Murray Staines made a useful 45 for the visitors. Will Skinner returned figures of four for 27 off ten overs.
In reply, the team reached the target at 5/152 in 43.4 overs. Jack Melchiore led the way with 34 off 77 balls with two fours and one six. There were also handy runs from Axel Karlsson-Lacy (32).
A great effort from the group.
