Despite some good moments, our Manly Warringah 1st came up short against Randwick Petersham 1st in a tough outing.
In terms of totals, it was Manly Warringah 1st 8/303 and Randwick Petersham 1st 7/353. A classy 63 off 131 balls from Edmund Hole was the highlight. Andrew Boulton's 58 off 109 balls was a half-century to remember. For the hosts, Riley Ayre took four for 78 off 24 overs.
With the ball, Joel Foster did the damage, claiming four for 67 off 23 overs. Lewis Evans offered good support with two for 91. Credit to Alexander Lee-Young, who made a century (103) for our opponents. Ayre made a classy 64 not out for the hosts, a well-deserved half-century.
It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around.
We'll go again.
